For lack of a better title. I went a little color crazy under the guise of testing a toothbrush spattering trick to create the stars, when really I just wanted to paint rainbow hair in space. The spattering works, eh, okay. I wanted to create bigger drops of star, but at least this looks more natural than my other starry sky watercolor attempts. I'm super proud of that moon though!
Tools: W&N Cotman watercolours, General's Kimberly watercolor pencils, pens, W&N water colour masking fluid
Time: about 8 hours
Nice work on the space background and I love her rainbow hair.
woah, woah, woah.... YOU PAINTED THIS?!?! WITH A TOOTHBRUSH?!?!? I really want to learn how to paint, but its definently not my strong point
Haha, I didn't use a toothbrush for the whole thing I only used the toothbrush for some of the stardust. If you load up a thick-bristle brush with white acrylic paint (or any color), you can run your fingers along the brush and spatter the paint onto the canvas. The rest of the painting was made using regular brushes
Cue nyan cat song.
I love flicking paint with a toothbrush. XD Nice art.
